Nottingham, EnglandJuly 20, 2015 – International charity MMBF Trust’s latest competition with talent site Total Talent is open for entries from aspiring actors and performers around the UK. The competition will offer the winners a place on an 8 week course at The International Acting Academy plus a £250 prize money courtesy of the Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund.

Speaking of the competition a trustee for MMF said – It’s a very exciting opportunity for young creatives and fresh in the industry talent who want to establish themselves by doing a course and furthermore getting financial resources to be able to undertake the course, this should work as a really good starting point for all future talent in the performing arts sector’.

June 22, 2015 (New York, NY) – After being celebrated at the St. Louis Film Festival, Queer Film Festival, Boston LGBT Film Festival, and Melbourne Queer Festival, Emmy Award-winning director, Elizabeth Rohrbaugh releases her latest work ‘Dylan’, a poignant short film about a transgender man’s journey. The film became available for free streaming online starting in June, in honor of LGBT Pride Month. Based on an interview with childhood friend, Dylan Winn Garner, the film tells Dylan’s story (as performed by transgender actor, Becca Blackwell), of his exploration of the transgender community, his family’s approval of his identity, and ultimately his physical and emotional transformation.

Rohrbaugh began the process of making this film nearly ten years ago when she wrote the script as part of a theater writing workshop taught by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, who were best known for creating The Exonerated. Tasked to interview someone with an interesting story, Rohrbaugh chose newly transitioned Dylan, whom she had known since childhood as Emily. US campaign commissions over 20 films shot on Action Cams by directors all over the world

Sony Action Cam has teamed up with a diverse range of filmmakers, artists and influencers to create a series of new films celebrating the “never before seen”. Ranging from crafty experiments and audacious stunts to short documentaries, sports adventures and scripted short stories, the films celebrate creativity in all its forms and use Action Cams to provide unique new perspectives on the production process and the stories themselves.

The campaign launched on March 23rd with the debut of three films: “Picture Machine”, “Paperports” and “Creature”. Directed by Studio Nos, Charles Young and Ryan Dzierzek respectively, the variation between the three films is a good indicator of the campaign’s overall breadth. “Picture Machine” documents the construction of a reverse zoetrope, “Paperports” lets us peek into the work and process of Young’s intricate miniature paper architecture practice, and “Creature” tells the tale of a mutant reptile on the loose. read more
