Harvard University Taps JVC CONNECTED CAMS to Stream Live Sports Productions

With 42 sports teams, the athletic department at Harvard University has one of the largest and most historied programs in the country. From football, basketball, hockey and rubgy, to skiing, swimming and rowing, among others, the school’s sporting events draw attention from spectators, alumni and professional scouts, alike. The university broadcasts approximately 300 live and recorded events in a typical year, the majority of which they now live stream on ESPN+, ESPN’s direct-to-consumer platform. The school also presents footage from its sports teams across its various social media channels, such as Facebook and YouTube.

Ryan Seacrest Foundation Selects JVC Cameras for Media Centers in Pediatric Hospitals Across the U.S.

The Ryan Seacrest Foundation recently opened a new “Seacrest Studio” at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, complete with state-of-the-art video and audio equipment. The gear installed at the studio includes KY-PZ100U PTZ cameras, an RM-LP100U IP PTZ Controller and a KM-IP Switcher, as well as a GY-HC500 CONNECTED CAM camcorder, from JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation. JVC equipment has also been installed at existing Seacrest Studio locations in Dallas, Denver and Washington DC. These solutions help the foundation fulfill its mission of contributing positively to the healing process of children and their families through radio and TV programming.

DPA Microphones is proud to announce that Co-founder Jens-Jørn Stokholm and R&D Manager Ole Moesmann will soon be bestowed with an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Technical Achievement Award for the innovative development of the brand’s high-performance, miniature lavalier microphone technology. The pair’s accomplishment is among 17 scientific and technical achievements to be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in a virtual Scientific and Technical Awards presentation on Saturday, February 13. The ceremony will be available on the OSCARS website starting at 1 p.m. PT.
