Blackmagic Design today announced that the team behind the new horror film “Curse of the Sin Eater” used a collaborative approach for post production, relying on Blackmagic Cloud and DaVinci Resolve Studio to edit, color grade and create visual effects (VFX) simultaneously while spread across the US. DP Robert Patrick Stern also used a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K digital film camera for the film’s intense dream and car sequences.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Director Hiroshi Okuyama's latest film, “My Sunshine,” was shot with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K digital film camera and graded with DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software in conjunction with DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel. The film was officially selected for the "Un Certain Regard" section at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival.

The film is part of WOWOW’s “Actors’ Short Film” project, celebrating WOWOW’s 30th anniversary, where leading actors collaborate with professional film crews to direct short films.
