Review: After Effects CS5 , Pg. 4

In my opinion, the benefits in performance are well worth the investment and it's clear that 64-bit is the future of motion graphics. The new tools and features more than make up for any extra upgrades you have to make to your system.

Even Levels got a sweet overhaul to its graphs.

Final Comments
Despite being the industry standard for nearly all graphics, Adobe's video department has always had to compete with the Apple's Final Cut Studio. With the suite-wide improvements in performance and options, CS5's video tools now make it a seriously powerful competitor to Apple. After Effects is a strong component of Adobe's competitive advantage. Adding advanced Rotoscoping tools (Roto Brush and Mocha), a full color-correction solution (Color Finesse) and streamlined porting back and forth between other CS5 programs are icing on an already delicious cake. Adobe After Effects has always been a great standalone product and this version is no exception.
