One major function that Story will have is the ability to import scripts that were created in any other screenwriting program. Other than Final Draft, I’ve yet to come across such a comprehensive upload ability. In addition to the simplicity of reading projects created in other programs, Story will allow you to use all of the metadata from those scripts and create your production reports. So even if you have a favorite screenwriting program, you will still want to have all of the abilities that Story will offer for your productions.
Import scripts from nearly any other program directly into Story..
One of the major advantages to the program is your ability to collaborate with other writers. Within the program itself, there is a sharing function that is fairly advanced. It will ask you for the email address that you would like to share with, and then offer you a set of options. These options allow different types of script access to your collaborator. If you are co-authoring a piece, you can give complete access to the script and all of its elements. If you are having someone read your script to give you notes, you can give them the ability to create notes without changing actual script elements.
