Software Review: Twitch, Pg. 3

Value
Twitch is one of those plug-ins that lets you cut the fat from your traditional plug-in use. For example, there were times (pre-Twitch) when I would use Sapphire Flicker to get a film gate effect. And to get a random time skipping effect I would use Sapphire Jitter Frames. And to get a flashing color effect I would use Strobe. Animating any of these effects to get a random feel could be a real pain just by the sheer amount of options. But Twitch makes it as simple as checking a box.
For $45 you simply can't beat the value of Twitch. The potential for creating something cool and totally unique with Twitch is seemingly limitless. To back up the endless cool features of the plug-in is the plethora of VC tutorials and presets that you get as a bonus. They even threw in 10 sound effects to help you add emphasis to your effects.

Simply put, VC has no intention of letting you buy this plug-in just to leave you hanging. They freely give you the creative inspiration that will ultimately keep you using Twitch in every project.

Figure 5. Twitch is excellent at quickly making a unique transition. This transition is a preset called "Color Tearing.".

Final Comments
Twitch is a great plug-in that provides limitless possibilities for creating intense and unique effects. Video Copilot's programmer(s) thought of everything in the way of creating an effect that will bring pro-stylistic nuance and intensity to your project.

While you may want to use Twitch conservatively, it will definitely come in handy with everything from quick transitions to adding a little extra pop to your background elements to creating a creepy David Fincher-esque flashback sequence.
Twitch is solid.
