There's always a little lost in translation, even with fellow English-speaking countries. The more you watch, the more you catch on, of course (for instance, I am hooked on old British comedy, and no longer find myself wondering as to some of the unusual phrases used – in fact I often find myself using them)! Still, I do think that the format makes the story a bit difficult to follow.
Its still a great story, though; the technical challenges undertaken by its director are quite remarkable and I would encourage him to keep pushing the envelope!
Its always great to see that 35mm is alive and well and that there are a few souls still brave enough to use it. Combine that with the daring of putting real firearms on a film set, and its a sure sign that the director is willing to try just about anything – many low-budget directors would rather work with a kindergarten class and a menagerie of animals before taking on this type of movie!
