Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body which is a version of the camera that has all the quality and features of the URSA Cine 12K but excludes many of the accessories. This body only model is perfect for experienced cinematographers and rental houses who already have the accessories they need to rig their cameras. This also makes it more affordable as the new Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF Body will retail for US$6,995 excluding local duties and taxes.

Kalamazoo College Uses Blackmagic Design for Campuswide Productions
Blackmagic Design today announced that Michigan’s Kalamazoo College is using a host of Blackmagic Design gear, including cameras, switchers, recorders and more, for all its campuswide production needs. This includes a full TV production studio in its library, along with three mobile streaming kits used for athletics, lectures, concerts and more, as well as three performance venues and the campus chapel each outfitted with Blackmagic Design production gear.
Singaporean Holiday Movie Hi Noel Shot on URSA Mini Pro 12K
Blackmagic Design today announced that Singaporean production company Cande Picture’s new film, “Hi Noel,” was completed using the Blackmagic URSA Mini 12K digital cinema camera and DaVinci Resolve Studio. Showing the world through the eyes of a child and his imaginary friend at Christmas time, the film was created on a small budget but was able to deliver a Hollywood level, charming story that included extensive use of greenscreen and VFX.
