Blackmagic Design announced today that many of the 2021 summer season’s worldwide film releases used numerous Blackmagic Design products during production and post, including its digital film cameras, DaVinci Resolve Studio for editing, color correction, visual effects production and more. This included some of the biggest blockbusters and expected blockbusters of the summer, such as “The Green Knight,” “Jungle Cruise,” “Spiral” and “Cruella.”
Blackmagic Design today announced that “Making Their Mark,” the hit Amazon Prime Video series that gives viewers access into the Australian Football League’s top teams, was shot using Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 and Pocket Cinema Camera 6K digital cinema cameras by Melbourne’s JamTV. Color correction for the series was completed using DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Blackmagic Design today announced a new lower price for the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K of US$5,995. This price reduction has been made possible by efficiencies in manufacturing combined with an improved supply of 12K sensors. However with the new rendering engine in DaVinci Resolve 17.3, showing speed improvements up to 3x when working in 4K and 8K resolutions, the new lower price will make high resolution workflows more accessible. This is an exciting innovation because it transforms high resolution workflows and makes them much lower cost. With this new low price for Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K, a much wider range of customers will have access to feature film production.
