The camera allowed the film’s minimal crew to create a sense of closeness for the nearly wordless film that relies on intimacy, body language and music to tell its story.

Blackmagic Design today announced that the recent Peugeot SUV promo video jointly released by carmaker Dongfeng Peugeot and Chinese travel social website Mafengwo was created using Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K digital film cameras and DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software. Produced by Du Fan Studio, the video introduces fans to a winter road trip to the Changbai Mountains.

Blackmagic Design today announced the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, a next generation model of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 includes an adjustable touchscreen screen for easier framing of shots, a larger battery for longer shooting without needing to charge or change batteries, as well as support for an optional electronic viewfinder. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 has the latest Blackmagic generation 5 color science and retains the popular cinematic Super 35 HDR image sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range, dual native ISO and EF lens mount from the previous model.

URSA Mini Pro 12K Used for VFX on Season Four of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Blackmagic Design today announced that Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K digital film camera was used to capture visual effects (VFX) plates for the fourth season of the Emmy Award winning series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” VFX Supervisor Lesley Robson-Foster also used the URSA Mini Pro 12K as a witness camera for the series, capturing footage from all over New York City, including the Coney Island boardwalk, the top of the Wonder Wheel Ferris wheel and Central Park.

Oscar Nominated Documentary Writing With Fire Completed with DaVinci Resolve Studio
Blackmagic Design today announced that the Oscar nominated film for Best Documentary Feature, “Writing With Fire,” completed post production using DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software and DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panels. This included color correction, online editing and managing the films’ various delivery needs.
