Blackmagic Design today announced that “The Stargate” music video, from American death metal band Blood Incantation, was edited and color graded in DaVinci Resolve Studio with visual effects (VFX) completed using the post production software’s Fusion page. The video’s Director and DP Michael Ragen was responsible for the edit and VFX, while Colorist Belal Hibri completed the grade for the 20 minute saga featuring mind bending imagery and unsettling atmospheres.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K digital film camera was used for a new web commercial for Kao’s skincare brand Curél. Post production was completed using DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software.
Blackmagic Cloud Used for Feature Film Awesomest Christmas Ever
Blackmagic Design today announced that independent film “Awesomest Christmas Ever” was shot using a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K digital film camera and edited with DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software. Relying on Blackmagic Cloud, the post team was able to remotely collaborate while editing and grading the holiday film.
Hulu Series Interior Chinatown Graded with DaVinci Resolve Studio
Blackmagic Design today announced that Hulu streaming series “Interior Chinatown” was graded by Supervising Colorist Aidan Stanford of ArsenalFX Color using DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and audio post production software. Stanford cited the grade as one of the most complicated he’s ever done, but pushing himself creatively and working with a strong team helped him deliver the standout series.
Blackmagic Design Announces New Features for Blackmagic Cloud
Blackmagic Design today announced several new features for Blackmagic Cloud. The cloud storage app has a new icon view with thumbnails which can be scrubbed to preview footage, as well as a new inspector panel for easily viewing clip metadata. Customers can also now share a presentation with a client who is not a member of Blackmagic Cloud via a URL, so they can collaborate and group chat with them. These new features are available online now at cloud.blackmagicdesign.com. All customers currently using Blackmagic Cloud will see these new features immediately.
