Rising Stars: Total Talent’s MMBF Acting Competition Open for UK Entries (Press Release)

MMBF HeaderNottingham, EnglandJuly 20, 2015 – International charity MMBF Trust’s latest competition with talent site Total Talent is open for entries from aspiring actors and performers around the UK. The competition will offer the winners a place on an 8 week course at The International Acting Academy plus a £250 prize money courtesy of the Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund.

Speaking of the competition a trustee for MMF said – It’s a very exciting opportunity for young creatives and fresh in the industry talent who want to establish themselves by doing a course and furthermore getting financial resources to be able to undertake the course, this should work as a really good starting point for all future talent in the performing arts sector’.

This competition is open to Total Talent members only. One entry per Premium member. Non-Members can register on the Total Talent site to enter the competition for free. Competition closes Friday 24th July 2015. Please ensure you are able to commit to the course dates and timings detailed below before entering.

THE COURSE

The International Acting Academy 8 week course focuses on techniques that unlock Shakespeare and Contemporary texts in a fun and engaging way. It also contains audition technique, acting for television and a forum with one of London’s leading agents. The course takes place in a friendly and relaxed group environment. Each session is led by leading professional directors and actors, who regularly work at the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, RADA and Guildhall School of
Music and Drama. The course starts Saturday 26 September 2015 to Saturday 14 November 2015 (3pm – 6pm) in London.

ABOUT MATTHEW MARTINO BENEVOLENT FUND

MMBF (Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund) is an international fund set up to support young people with an interest to follow a career in the film industry or aspiring pilots. The fund welcomes applications from anywhere in the world and aims to support individuals whose careers are at standstill due to having no resources to move their career’s forward. As well as supporting individuals directly we also work with organisations in the Film, Perfoming Arts and Acting industries to bring competitions,awards, scholarships and training events that will support the future talent.The MMBF Trust was formed in late 2013 by Mathetes Chihwai better known by his stage name Matthew C. Martino.
