As we get closer to the shipping release of Cinema 4D release 15 (C4Dr15), let’s go over what all we can expect to find in C4Dr15, according to Maxon. (I know we at MFM are definitely intrigued by the new beveling tool and the “Amplify” brush–which sounds as though it functions like the Bloat tool in Photoshop’s Liquify–as these could simplify and speed up modeling tremendously!)
Key Highlights of CINEMA 4D Release 15
Rendering Enhancements – The new Team Render brings control over all surplus processing power in a network, a new irradiance caching algorithm has been added for faster approximation of Global Illumination, as well as improved ambient occlusion.
Modeling Enhancements – An all-new interactive beveling tool for improved manipulation and control over object edges and curves, results in clean, efficient meshes.
Improved Typographic Tools – Enhanced typographic, text editing and control capabilities over MoText and Text Splines are now available directly in the 3D view.
Dynamic Sculpting – Improved dynamic sculpting tools include advanced masking, mirroring, duplication options, as well as the new Amplify brush to interactively inflate, and use new draw modes to sculpt lines and areas defined by lasso, polygonal drawing or a rectangle.
